Sarah Adwoa Safo conveyed her acceptance weeks after her appointment as Gender Minister was terminated.
The legislator from Dome-Kwabenya thinks the change will give her the chance to concentrate more on the developmental requirements of her constituents.
After living abroad for nearly a year and receiving requests from detractors to be fired, the member of parliament was removed of her ministerial duties.
After Parliament likewise delayed a decision regarding her eligibility to serve as a representative of her constituency, the President decided to respond to these calls on July 28.
Mrs. Safo, however, sees a bright side to her situation.
“Cognizant of my duty to the 75,000 constituents who elected me,” the MP claims.
According to the statement dated August 5, “this development is timely and will provide me more time to focus on my parliamentary duties and constituency interactions as well as cement the advances we have made as a government at the constituency level in our effort to break the eight.”
She also thanked the Presidency for giving her the chance to work for the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection.
