The destruction of campaign materials belonging to Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for president, has drawn varied reactions from some Nigerians.
Online images of Tinubu’s damaged campaign banner bearing the phrase “Emi Lokan” appeared.
A portion of the campaign literature located at Bariga, off the third mainland bridge, was destroyed.
While some people expressed disapproval at the damage, others contended that a whirlwind or rain may have been at blame.
“I swear dis billboard is purely an assault on Tinubu himself. He should jail whoever do dis,” said @LagbajaOmolol.

You’re aware that it’s been windy lately, @CalibreCrown. Wind blows am not.
According to @CallMeJossy, “Honestly, I don’t endorse this. Let it be there and use it as justification for not voting for him. What if this was an Obi or Atiku banner?
According to @BASILAZUBUIKE, “Agreed and supported. According to the Lagos records that are now accessible, it is the emi lo followers who are taking down the banners, posters, and yard signs of their rivals.
“Na one “omo ale” do this stuff oo,” wrote @troll30000000
“They will soon say it’s obidients,” @fittyAnih commented.
“Kan and tinubu don fell within river,” posted @DadaSupremacy2. He is at odds with his mami water self.
“If people can climb a billboard above the water to cut down a poster, that should ring a bell,” @yinkadudu2 wrote.
