According to Ghanaian President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, he is not the only leader of a country that is killing its citizens due to a collapsed economy.
Speaking to the media on a three-day visit to the Upper West Region, the President claimed that the economy under his predecessor, John Agyekum Kuffour, was far worse and had led to our inclusion in the HIPC program, whereas his merely involved a successful arrangement with the IMF.
The president stated that while he is aware of the nation’s present economic difficulties, he has encountered similar challenges in the past, including COVID-19, and has effectively overcome them.
The Akufo-Addo government’s leadership has come under fire for poor economic management.
