With two short films, “Her Perfect Life” and “Iyawo Mi” (My wife), which are both primarily in the Yoruba language, Nigeria’s most prominent filmmaker, Mosunmola Abudu, often known as Mo Abudu, has declared her entry into the world of film directing.
She made the following comment to introduce the production: “I believe in learning and comprehending each significant project I undertake. I’m starting small because directing is an art that takes years to master. Her Perfect Life and Iyawo Mi (My Wife), two short films I wrote and will direct,
“Even though these are fictional stories, they raise awareness of the widespread mental health issues that go unacknowledged in Nigerian society. Regardless of age, ethnicity, money, or social class, mental health disorders may impact anyone, and they are on the rise, she wrote in an Instagram post.

The executive producers for both movies are Mo Abudu, Bola Atta, Wale Tinubu, Shola Akinlade, Pearl Thusi, and Nonos Okpala, with Heidi Uys serving as the supervising producer.
The Wedding Party, Chief Daddy, Your Excellency, and The Royal Hibiscus Hotel are just a few of the biggest successes in Nigerian cinema that Mo has worked on as an executive producer. Her triumphs include Castle & Castle, Oloture, and Blood Sisters, which are still dominating the streaming platform thanks to a significant partnership with Netflix.
