The late Sir John’s wife is said to have died.

Mrs. Agnes Boakye, also known as Agnes Owusu Afriyie, is said to have died on August 29, 2022, in London.

She died at the age of 67, according to Kofi TV, which broke the news.

The reason of death has not yet been revealed.

Last year, the late Agnes Boakye sued the Trustees of her late husband’s Will.

The trustees, Nana Boakye Akeampong and Charles Owusu, have been directed to stop sharing the deceased’s property.

The widow alleged that Sir John’s family has turned a blind eye to her illness and has failed to provide financial assistance.

She cited Section 13 of the Wills Act, Act 360 of 1971, and Article 22(1) of the 1992 Constitution, claiming that no provisions were made in the Will for her.

On Thursday, June 3, 2021, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, the late former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), was laid to rest.
