The Economic Fighters League of Ghana has also paid respect to Queen Elizabeth II, calling her passing “good riddance.”

The left-leaning group expressed their desire for her to burn in hell for the crimes she oversaw, such as the murder of Ghanaian ex-servicemen who were demonstrating for their due pay.

“Leader of an inglorious empire that stole, murdered, plundered, and destroyed,” was how they portrayed her. We are aware of our past, and as a result of that past, we contend that Elizabeth deserves to burn in hell, according to a declaration made public.

May Elizabeth rot in Hell

The British queen Elizabeth has passed away after 70 years on the throne. People all over are joining a pretentious mourning spree, whitewashing her legacy. For us in Africa who know our history and the history of the world, we do not mourn Elizabeth and we do not wish for her to rest in peace. She must rot in hell.

In the 70 years of her reign as a British monarch, Elizabeth was the head of the royal family which profited from, benefited, aided, encouraged the colonialist and Neo-colonialist plunder of Africa and Africans. Prior to colonialism, the institution she represented and led was heavily built by the spoils of slavery, from the sweat of enslaved people. Till date, these people have never been paid a compensation. Elizabeth did not even see fit to acknowledge or apologize for the atrocities the British empire has caused to billions of people across the world including fellow Africans.

Just like her parents and grandparents, she had the blood of millions of enslaved people who died being transported to Latin America and the Caribbean to work for decades without pay. Again, just like her parents and grandparents, she had the blood of millions of people who were brutally killed by the royal army for standing up for their independence – the Mau Mau Massacre readily comes to mine. In Ghana, when ex-servicemen who were used in the second European war by Britain asked for their promised remuneration, they were shot and killed. In Senegal, same incident occurred where more than 300 ex-soldiers were buried for merely asking to be paid what they were promised during the second European war.

Elizabeth enjoyed, encouraged and led the monarchy presenting herself as graceful and majestic. But she was wearing clothes adorned with stolen diamonds and gold and living in mansions built with the unpaid labor of enslaved people.

Above all, she had the chance to right these wrongs by acknowledging these atrocities, apologizing for them, returning all the stolen wealth and paying reparations. But she chose not to do any of these.

We decline the invitation to pretend that Elizabeth was not a leader of an inglorious empire that stole, murdered, plundered, destroyed. We know our history and by virtue of that history, we believe, Elizabeth deserves to rot in hell.
