Femi Babafemi, the NDLEA spokesperson, has denied claims that the organization destroyed all of the 1.855 tons of cocaine valued at over $278 million (N194 billion+) that were taken from a warehouse in Lagos on September 19.

The agency published images and videos of the illegal substance being burned in Lagos on Tuesday, September 27. Rapper Falz and several other Nigerians criticized the agency for destroying the material.

He composed;

”This administration must really think that we are daft sha!! What is this lamba that the NDLEA is giving with this cocaine seizure saga? Dem dey burn evidence?”Falz wrote on Twitter.

While rejecting the allegations, Babafemi stated that 27.5kg of the cocaine had been acquired for use in the prosecution of the five men detained during the warehouse raid. Below is his tweet.
