ASUU strike: Nigerian lecturer storms bank with ‘Ghana must go’ bag to withdraw his 8 months salary in arrears

Remember that the Federal Government agreed to pay the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) 8 months’ worth of salary arrears on Tuesday.

However, after hearing the news, a Nigerian lecturer made a scene at a bank when he arrived with a Ghana Must Go bag in response to rumors that the FG had paid their unpaid salaries.

Remember that the Federal Government agreed to pay the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) 8 months’ worth of salary arrears on Tuesday.

However, after hearing the news, a Nigerian lecturer made a scene at a bank when he arrived with a Ghana Must Go bag in response to rumors that the FG had paid their unpaid salaries.

It announced; “Universities to reopen 17th October 2022 as Federal Govt agrees to pay the outstanding 8 months’ salaries.

“Revitalization and salary arrears have been cleared. Although the issue of UTAS is not finalized, for now, ASUU members have agreed to resume October 17th.”

A man who teaches at an unnamed university assaulted his bank the day after the news broke with a large bag to withdraw the entire 8 months’ worth of unpaid salary.
