According to a new Global Info Analytics poll, John Mahama, the former president of Ghana, would likely win the general elections in 2024.

According to the study, Mr. Mahama has a 29% advantage over Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia among voters who are likely to cast ballots in the elections of 2024.

Additionally, the poll revealed that Mr. Mahama had regained the Northern Region after trailing in earlier polls.

According to the poll, he also maintains his lead in the Vice President’s home region of the North East.

According to the poll, the NPP may be losing ground in the Eastern Region as Mr. Mahama received 73 percent of the vote compared to Dr. Bawumia’s 24 percent.

The survey’s findings were based on data from a sample size of 5,661.

Based on the total number of voters in each region as reported in the EC 2020 register, the sample size was distributed among all the regions.

Then, to choose the constituencies where the assigned sample will be administered from each region, a random simulation for all 275 constituencies was undertaken.

Breaking the Eight

In regards to whether the NPP can “Break the Eight” by winning a third straight term, over 70% of voters do not think the party can win the 2024 election, while 19% think it can and 10% are unsure.

46% of NPP voters, against 43% who think their party can win the 2024 elections, disagree with this finding, according to the survey.

Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, the NPP’s Trade and Industry Minister, has widened his advantage against Dr. Bawumia.

According to the poll, Mr. Kyerematen currently has a 44 percent to Dr. Bawumia’s 31 percent advantage.

The double-digit lead Mr. Kyerematen has since polling started in January 2022 is the largest ever recorded.

The poll found a correlation between Dr. Bawumia’s declining popularity and the nation’s deteriorating economic status.

Mr. Mahama has a good chance of winning the NDC leadership election.
Polling with general voters shows he leads Dr Kwabena Duffour 71% to 19%.

Former Kumasi Mayor, Kojo Bonsu, attracted 3 percent of the votes
