Journalist Nana Aba Anamoah from Ghana has expressed her displeasure with how some Ghanaians have been disrespectful of the president in response to his social media remarks.

She wrote on Twitter on October 20, 2022, expressing her opinion that their acts were wrong.

“On a serious note, the insults under the President’s posts on social media are not cool,” she said.

Her remark follows the president’s posting of pictures during his visit to Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti region, on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, to cut the ground for the beginning of the construction of a 4-tier interchange at Suame.

Akufo-Addo said his trip was in fulfillment of a promise he made while touring the Ashanti Region the previous year.

A few irate social media users hurled insults at the president for what they saw to be his callous attitude toward the nation’s economic woes.

Many of them are pleading with him to step down and cease chopping wood for unfinished projects.
