The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBNinitiative )’s to redesign the naira notes has the full support of President Buhari, according to the CBN.
Recall that the Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, claimed she was unaware of the decision to redesign the N1,000, N500, and N200 notes, which led to controversy last week.
The President, however, stated that he is aware of the revamping and is “convinced that the nation will gain a lot by doing so” in a statement by his media assistant Garba Shehu.
