On Sunday, despite losing their third-place match to Nigeria 3-2 on penalties, members of Germany’s Under-17 women’s team danced with their Nigerian counterparts to Nigerian music.

The trio of Opeyemi Ajakaye, Amina Bello, and Etim Eddidiong scores gave the Nigerian squad a 3–0 lead after dominating the match.

With goals from Jella Velt, Paulina Bartz, and a last-second acrobatic kick from Loreen Bender, the Germans managed to claw their way back into the game and erase Nigeria’s three-goal deficit.

As a result, penalties were played, and Nigeria won.

Following the game, a video of the two nations’ players dancing to Kizz Daniel’s track “Cough” circulated on social media.
