After a week of anticipation following Elon Musk’s takeover last week, the job cuts have actually happened. Sadly, Ghanaian Benard Kafui Sokpe has announced that he is leaving the bird app.

The senior partner manager for Ghana and Nigeria Twitter relationships in Ghana, Bernard Kafui Sokpe, also known on Twitter as Meistermind, tweeted to affirm his current employment position and to show support for the thousands of other former Twitter employees.

Workers were told to leave the workplace on Friday, according to a company-wide email from Twitter. Because of the badge, access was suspended until further notice.

“In an effort to place Twitter on a healthy path, we will go through the difficult process of reducing our global workforce. We recognize that this will impact a number of individuals who have made valuable contributions to Twitter, but this action is, unfortunately, necessary to ensure the company’s success moving forward,” the email read.
