Following the passing of his son Ifeanyi, Nigerian artist and music executive David Adeleke aka Davido has broken his silence through actions posted on Instagram.
The DMW boss, who has spent the last few days in sorrow, went to his Instagram page and deleted posters advertising his upcoming music festival.
Davido had for weeks, been promoting the festival themed “A.W.A.Y. (Are We African Yet?)” with the latest post being in October.
It was slated to take place in Atlanta, Georgia, on November 18, 2022.
He had previously stated that the festival’s goals were to encourage and promote cultural exporting between Africa and the rest of the globe.
However, the singer removed the posters that had previously been pinned to his page around a week after the untimely death of his 3-year-old son.
Additionally, Davido deleted all of the highlights from his Instagram story, which featured videos promoting him as the brand ambassador for the global sportswear company PUMA.
At the top of his Instagram page, he posted two images of Ifeanyi Adeleke Jr. and one of himself.
Additionally, Davido, who had 1,6777 followers on his verified Instagram page and 25.8 million followers overall before his son’s murder, made modifications by unfollowing three (3) of his followers’ accounts.
According to reports, DJ Cuppy, Femi Otedola, and Late Ifeanyi’s Instagram accounts were unfollowed by Davido.
