Rae Hamoonga, a spokeswoman for the Zambia Police Service, tells Byta FM that Kebby Chipili used a hoe to hack Blaston Chipasha, a resident of the same area, who had two severe injuries on the left side of his face and one severe cut on his neck.

On Friday, November 11, 2022, at around 6:00 a.m., Chipili was reportedly cultivating in a field when he noticed the strange creature, which allegedly advanced and attacked him, according to Hamoonga.

He claims that after killing the thing with a hoe and realizing it was a person, Chipili recognized it as his uncle, who had by that point already appeared to be dead.

According to Hamoonga, Chipili then hurried to the Village and told his nearby John Chishala, 44, about the situation.

The Kazembe Rural Health Center morgue received the body after it was removed from the scene and reported to the police, according to a spokeswoman for the police service, and it is currently awaiting postmortem and burial.

According to Hamoonga, the suspect has been remanded in police custody after being arrested, and police are looking into the situation.
