The Ministry of Food and Agriculture has added rice, cabbage, yams, carrots, pepper, spring onions, and cucumbers to its market for “Planting for Food and Jobs.”

The project, which began with plantain bunches on Friday, November 11, is currently in its third day.

Numerous people flocked to the location on Monday in order to get plantains and yam at discounted costs.

The transportation of the low-cost food items to Accra for sale was organised by the government and the Ministry.

The ministry claims that the programme known as Planting for food and employment market is currently being tested as a response to the growing price of food.
