Over the weekend, armed robbers broke into a church in Johannesburg, South Africa, and stole from the worshippers.
The preaching was interrupted by the gunmen, who then proceeded to rob people inside the Johannesburg Central SDA church of their money and possessions, according to sources.
The church’s live camera caught the moment the shooters interrupted the sermon.
Following the incident, the church officials released a statement encouraging the members and inviting them to a counselling service on Sunday.
“We are praying for the church to unite in times like these, supporting each other both moral and practical,” the church said in the post, which included the video when the robbery occurred:
The regional police chief denounced the incident and promised to use all available means to apprehend those responsible, according to the local media.
