A teaser for the African Baddie video by singer Yemi Alade has received negative feedback, leading many of her admirers to speculate about her possible pregnancy.
Yemi Alade complained about her waist in the teaser video while wearing a black body embrace garment, but many of her admirers were more drawn to her “baby bump-like” tummy.
“Is it me or are my eyes seeing double? I thought she was pregnant” one Desola wondered
“Is that a baby bump I see” one Nichole asked
“Mama Africa, we need to sue that camera cos why do you look pregnant or are you pregnant?” one Ms. Black wrote.
On the other side, some other fans opted to confront the body-shamers in order to support Yemi Alade.
One Daphne wrote “There is nothing wrong with her tummy. She’s naturally curvy. Any curvy lady with over flat tummy na surgery”
“The way y’all switch sides is amazing. If her body changed y’all will be very quick to say she went under the knife and all that, she’s all natural and y’all still complaining. How about we just learn to appreciate the beauty and leave people’s bodies alone? Be setting unnecessary standards and then sham those who try to live up to them.” one Korede defended.
