Samuel Eto’o, the president of the Cameroon FA and a former player, was shown in a frightening video beating a man outside a stadium during the World Cup in Qatar.
The former Barcelona, Inter Milan, and Chelsea striker is seen exiting Stadium 974 in Doha in the viral video taken by La Opinion after witnessing Brazil defeat South Korea 4-1 in their round of 16 match on Monday evening, December.
Before a man with a video camera approaches him and they start to argue, Eto’o was initially seen taking pictures with supporters as he left the arena.
Eto’o was visible coming back to the scene to confront the individual before the video cut to a few seconds later. At this point, bystanders raced to control the situation, but Eto’o resisted being restrained as he tried to face him.
Eto’o offered a man his phone while four others were holding him back, then he broke into a knee attack, sending the man to the ground.
It’s unclear what the man said to him to cause the heated argument.
