A peace and security award has been given to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Sheikh Al-Mahfoudh Bin Bayyah, the secretary general of the Abu Dhabi Forum, and his assistant, Pastor Bob Roberts of the United States, paid a visit to Buhari on Tuesday, December 13, to inform him of his award and extend an invitation for him to attend the Abu Dhabi Foundation’s ceremony for its presentation.
According to reports, Buhari received the medal in honour of his remarkable contributions to the promotion of peace and security.
They said that the award was consistent with the Foundation’s efforts to combat religious extremism and advance interfaith harmony and communication.
Speaking as he welcomed the two, Buhari said that the foundation’s work to advance interfaith understanding was crucial for both the globe and Nigeria.
