On Tuesday, Yobe State’s Mai Mala Buni-led administration will inaugurate projects, and President Muhammadu Buhari is planned to be there. The freshly built cargo airport, cutting-edge market, and mother and child health care facility would all be opened by the President.

The state administration has designated Monday, January 9 and Tuesday, January 10, as work-free days for civil servants in advance of the President’s visit.

The announcement of the two-day holiday will allow the people of the state to meet the president, according to a statement made on Sunday by the state’s head of service, Garba Bilal.

The civil servants were to start working again on Wednesday, Bilal added.

According to the statement, “This is to facilitate the reception of President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, who would be in the state on a one-day State Visit to commission projects,” by civil officials and the general public.

Recall that on December 29, 2022, Buhari traveled to Kogi to inaugurate projects that the state government had finished in the state’s Okene Local Government Area.

The President came there to commission projects, but his visit was marred by an explosion that shook the neighborhood.
