Rapper Kwaw Kese from Ghana has responded to Kanye West’s absence from the Black Star celebration in Accra’s Independence Square.

In the past, there were numerous rumours that the American rapper had arrived in the nation for the event, which caused a lot of excitement on social media.

Fans who anticipated seeing Kanye West at the concert were disappointed when it actually took place.

T-Pain, Jeremih, Erykah Badu, Chance the rapper, and Vic Mensa all gave performances, however Kanye was not present.

The concert on January 6, 2023, ended about 6 a.m. the next morning, but the American rapper was nowhere to be found.

This led to significant responses from online users, and the blogger who first alerted the public to Kanye’s alleged appearance received harsh criticism.

Reacting to this, Kwaw Kese who made a jest out of the issue took to Twitter and wrote;

“Kanye took 2 puffs of Acapulco and got knocked out. He just woke up. Y’all wanted Ye for a free show.”
