Following careful enquiry, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been fired by the Ghana Education Service (GES).

Letters dismissing the pupils who had been under suspension due to the video have now been delivered to their guardians.

The GES stated that their conduct was “extremely undesired, and opposed to the acceptable standards of the conduct normally required of any student in the educational system of Ghana,” which is why they were fired.

Five (5) female Chiana SHS students from the Kassena Nankana West District of the Upper East Region were shown in a viral video making President Akuffo-Addo look bad.

The dismissal letter, dated November 29, 2022, and signed by Dr. Eric Nkansah, Director General of the GES, requested that the parents make sure their children turn over all school property to the institution before finishing their education.

The female students attacked the President in a video that went viral on social media in November of last year, accusing him of, among other things, causing economic hardship.

Many people were outraged by the situation and demanded that they be punished severely. Against victimizing them, Child Rights International had issued a warning. However, many demanded the harshest sanctions.
