According to Naija News, the president of Nigeria was absent from today’s FEC meeting because he was in Dakar, Senegal, for the high-level Dakar 2 Summit, which was hosted by President Macky Sall of Senegal.

Buhari will be absent from the meeting today for the second time in a row.
The meeting, presided over by Osinbajo, reportedly got under way at 10:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Boss Mustapha, the secretary to the federal government, Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan, the head of the federal civil service, and Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, the president’s chief of staff, are all present at the FEC meeting.

Ministers for industry, trade, and investment Niyi Adebayo; health Drs. Osagie Ehanire and Chris Ngige; works and housing Babatunde Fashola; agriculture Mohammad Abubakar; aviation Hadi Sirika; interior Rauf Aregbesola; the Niger Delta Umana Umana; youth and sports Sunday Dare; and justice Abubakar Malami are in attendance.

The Ministers of Finance (Zainab Ahmed), Women Affairs (Pauline Tallen), Transportation (Mu’azu Sambo), Environment (Mohammed Abdullahi FCT), Communications and Digital Economy (Prof. Isa Pantami), Science and Technology (Olorunimbe Mamora), and Information and Culture (Lai Mohammed) are also in attendance.

However, some of the ministers, including the national security adviser, Mohammed Babagana Monguno, the minister of agriculture and rural development, Dr. Mohammad Abubakar, and the foreign affairs minister, Geoffrey Onyeama, were not present at the meeting today because they are traveling with the president to Dakar.

Following the ceremony in Dakar, key government officials and President Buhari are all anticipated to return to Nigeria later on Wednesday, according to Naija News.
