Actress Yvonne Nelson from Ghana attributed the high rate of girls bartering sex for work to the system’s rigidity.
She claims that the dire economic conditions in Ghana are the main cause of the decision by many females to use their privates as trade in order to survive.
Lydia Forson stated in a tweet following the viral news about the First Atlantic Bank CFO and National Service member that people need to quit making such a fuss over the entire situation.
She went on to say that the practice of women reading sex for employment is not new, therefore she didn’t see why Seyram would be blamed for choosing to endure in such a harsh system.
She wrote: So many of you trade sex for survival not because it’s what you want; but the system makes it exceptionally hard for you to tow the righteous path. I’m not judging you, I’m just saying STOP acting like women & men ( yes them too) aren’t sucking d**k under the table for jobs.
Background
A National Service Member with whom he had an illicit connection has filed a lawsuit against Mr. Ernest Nimako of the First Atlantic Bank for sexual harassment and breach of contract.
Deborah Seyram Adablah claimed that although the bank had a duty of care to her, it had not only breached it but also allegedly used her as a ruse to persuade wealthy individuals to open accounts in exchange for sex.
She further alleged in her lawsuit that nearly every senior manager at the bank had a lover who works there, with the knowledge of the bank’s managers.
She underlined that their superiors would intimidate the female employees if they didn’t comply with their demands.
