Rappers Offset and Quavo from the Migos are said to have gotten into a fight backstage at the music awards on Sunday, according to a report, as tensions between the two remain high.
Quavo, 31, is accused of refusing to let Offset, also 31, participate in a musical ode to their late comrade Takeoff, who was shot and killed in October 2022 at the age of 28. Read here
Later, Offset refuted the allegations on Twitter and stated that he and Quavo never engaged in a “fight.”
A video of a woman, thought to be 30-year-old Cardi B, screaming and yelling for the two rappers to settle down has however surfaced.
In the video obtained by Entertainment Tonight backstage at the Grammys, the woman shouted: ‘Both of y’all wrong. This is not right. No b, shut the f*k up ‘cause you shouldn’t have been talking.’
The WAP hitmaker hasn’t commented on the video.
The argument broke out immediately before Quavo entered the stage to perform his song Without You during the In Memoriam part of the yearly awards, according to the original TMZ report.
They claimed there was a physical altercation that began because Quavo allegedly refused to let Offset, his cousin, participate in the tribute despite the Grammys’ apparent request for him to do so.
