A senior citizen claims she will only vote in the upcoming general elections if she gets paid.
She stated at a street Vox Event that she would not vote on election day if no one gave her money.
She claims to have a Permanent Voters Card and will sell her vote for at least N20,000. The politician who pays her will get their thumbprint on the ballot, she claims.
The woman went on to say that nothing was done in Nigeria for free any longer, which is why she wanted to raise money before casting her ballot.

According to President Muhammadu Buhari, his administration has made it more difficult for future elections in Nigeria to be rigged.
According to a statement by his spokesperson, Femi Adesina, the president made this statement while hosting the West African Elders Forum Pre-Election Mediation Mission at the State House in Abuja, which was headed by former president of Sierra Leone, Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma.
Buhari added that Nigerians are now free to vote in 2023 for any political party or candidate they choose.
He reiterated that manipulations would not be tolerated in any way, and that the general elections in 2023 will be free, fair, and credible.
While he pointed to the off-season elections held in Anambra, Ekiti, and Osun States as evidence of the Nigerian Government’s determination to let people elect leaders of their choice, Buhari thanked his guests for their contributions to the sub-region.
He said: “Thank you for accepting to do this service for our sub-region. That right is a guarantee. We are settling down, and making progress. People should vote whoever they want, in whatever party.
We shall not allow anyone to use money and thugs to intimidate the people. Nigerians know better now, they are wiser, and know that it is better to dialogue than to carry weapons. Elections are even more difficult to rig now.”
