As Kiernan Forbes, better known by his stage name AKA, was laid to rest, mourners exited Johannesburg’s Westpark Cemetery.
In a private ceremony, he was laid to rest at the Heroes Acre with other politicians and celebrities.
AKA was shot and killed last week in front of a well-known restaurant in Durban. At the funeral, Somizi Mhlongo, DJ Oskido, and artist Ihashi Elimhlophe were all in attendance.

A stylish trailer pulling AKA’s coffin entered the cemetery grounds in a procession of black BMW X5s.
A memorial service was held on Friday at the Sandton Convention Centre for the slain rapper. Musicians that attended gave the star a fond farewell with renditions of his songs.
