Award-winning Gospel musician Evangelist Diana Asamoah has called on leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to make her the running mate of any candidate who emerges victorious in the party’s upcoming presidential primaries.
Even though she claimed to have much to give the party, she insisted that her greatest contribution would be to take the gospel to every home in Ghana.
The Mabo Wo Din composer said she wants her efforts to have remained faithful to the NPP to be compensated by accepting her request while making it known on UTV on Saturday, February 25.
After more than 15 years, the NPP will choose a new candidate for president in the upcoming elections.
So far, former Trade Minister Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, former Agric Minister Dr Afriyie Owusu Akoto, former Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko, former NPP General Secretary Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, former Mampong MP Francis Addai Nimoh and Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku have declared intention to contest the race.
Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is anticipated to enter the contest to succeed Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who has led the party in the previous four presidential elections, despite his quiet.
Following the 2023 presidential primaries, the running partner will be chosen.
