When social media was flooded with rumours of his marriage to Chioma Rowland, Nigerian music artist Davido revealed that he is now legally wed.
It may be recalled that earlier, in May 2022, as they were grieving the loss of their son Ifeanyi, the celebrated musician was said to have secretly wed Chioma.
Even though they hadn’t officially announced their union, they were seen wearing wedding bands at several public gatherings, especially at the inauguration of Davido’s uncle, Governor Adeleke.
But Davido recently revealed his marital status while displaying his ring in an interview with TV host Kiekie.
“It is crazy, am married…a lot of different things but we are ready now to get back on the road,” he confirmed.
Meanwhile, Davido’s March announcement of his return to the music industry has caused music fans to sigh with relief.
He will soon release the 17-track album “Timeless.”
The hitmaker stated that the pause allowed him to rebuild his record and spend more time with his family.
“I’ve had a lot to think about. Time to rest, reflect, have a lot of family time, and definitely time to make music again. I remade the album before I went on the break, I had the album ready, had the tour ready but we did the album,” he added.
