Rightify Ghana, a human rights organisation in Ghana, has requested that the Ghana Police Service find and detain a man who has been seen on camera threatening to behead anyone who is gay.

The group has urged the police to take action on the video by tweeting this message and sharing the video footage.

In the footage, the bare-chested man is seen threatening to kill homosexual people while holding a cutlass and staring directly into the camera.

The man continues by saying that if doing it required risking his life, he would make sure it was done.

“Anyone we find physically to be gay, we will behead them. I will sacrifice my life or you have to put me in prison,” he said.

However, the police are yet to respond to the group’s call.
