After breaking Twitter CEO Elon Musk’s new guidelines, award-winning superstar musicians Davido, Burna Boy, and Wizkid had their Twitter badges removed.

Last year, it was revealed that Twitter planned to start charging users close to $20 a month to be verified.

According to a source, Elon Musk will oversee the rollout of a premium service that includes this.

On Sunday, October 30, Musk, the new CEO of the social networking platform, stated in a tweet:
“The whole verification process is being revamped right now”.

The business also intends to increase Twitter Blue, an optional premium subscription that costs $4.99 per month, to $19.99 per month. That cost could, however, alter. The Verge published the story using internal communications and others with knowledge of the situation.

Failure to abide by his guidelines resulted in an individual losing their verification, which social media users use to distinguish between famous pages and those of regular people.

Twitter has begun removing celebrities’ and prominent figures’ Twitter badges in accordance with his promise.

The Nigerian celebrity trio lost their verification checkmarks since they didn’t follow the regulations.

The new alterations were discovered after doing a check of each Twitter page.
