The song, which was published on Friday, April 21, 2023, broke all previous records by topping the Apple Music Charts in less than 24 hours.
Since her 2019 debut, the award-winning singer-songwriter has dominated the music industry.
Her distinctive style and extraordinary talent have made her a force to be reckoned with. She has worked with well-known artists such Omar Lay, Davido, Blaq Jerzee, Major League DJz, Mayorkun, AKA, and Diplo, among others. Her popular song “Forever,” which has had over 150 million streams across numerous platforms, propelled her to international prominence.
Her most recent song, SCAR, is a powerful track that explores love and pain and presents both sides of the story of relationship difficulties. The song’s fusion of R&B, hip-hop, and drill heightens the story of nuances and layers by depicting the duality both sonically and lyrically.
Gyakie, a Flip The Music signed artist, collaborated with UK rapper JBee, one of the go-to new faces in British Rap, to create the music video for her most recent track, “SCAR.”
