Following the delay in validating her “cook-a-thon,” Nigerian chef Hilda Baci wrote a post in response to the Guinness World Records.

To beat the record for the longest cooking session by a single person, Baci had started a cooking marathon.

The 26-year-old Nigerian chef smashed the previous record of 87 hours and 45 minutes set by Indian chef Lata Tondon by completing her assignment by cooking continuously for four days.

Although she claimed to have set a new record of 100 hours, the Guinness Book of World Records has not yet confirmed this.

The Guinness World Records stated in a tweet that they are examining all the data before formally verifying her record.

Baci mentioned on her Twitter page that she frequently checks her inbox for confirmation.
