This Tuesday, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi will travel to Africa for the first time in an effort to forge new allies and lessen the Islamic Republic’s isolation.
The Iranian president is visiting Africa for three days for the first time in 11 years.
Kenya, Uganda, and Zimbabwe will all be visited by President Ebrahim Raisi.
In an effort to strengthen ties with Algiers, Raisi welcomed Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf on Saturday.
Iran and Saudi Arabia’s opponent in the area decided to mend fences in March after a pact brokered by China.
President Raisi travelled to Indonesia last month after stopping in Latin America.
