Ange Kagame Ndengeyingoma, 29, has been named the head of a crucial division under Rwandan President Paul Kagame’s administration.
Ange will work for the Strategy and Policy Council/SPC as the “Deputy Executive Director,” the Office of the Prime Minister announced in a statement.
Ange, who has worked for the president’s office for about five years, received her schooling abroad and spent the majority of her youth away from the public eye for security and privacy concerns.
She went to Dana Hall School, an elite prep school in the American city of Wellesley, Massachusetts.
The First Daughter studied political science with an emphasis in African studies at Smith College.
She also has a Columbia University master’s degree in international relations.
Kagame has been placing his kids in important positions, maybe to give them experience managing the country.
Ivan Kagame, the eldest son of Kagame, was named to the board of the Rwanda Development Board in 2020. This important government organization is charged with accelerating the nation’s economic development by fostering private sector expansion.
