Alozue was dispossessed by the full-back before James, the sister of Chelsea right-back Reece James, intentionally stamped on her.

After blowing for a foul and showing the Chelsea winger a yellow card, the official reversed course and sent the player out.

Ghanaians and Nigerians criticized James’ act on social media. Additionally, football supporters have criticized her.

Although Lauren James may have played her final game of the tournament, she is still in the running for Player of the Tournament after scoring four goals and dishing out three assists in four games.
