Efia Odo, a socialite and musician from Ghana, has commented on the Cecilia Dapaah controversy.

Earlier in July 2023, Cecilia Abena Dapaah, the minister for sanitation, found herself in hot water after court records showed that two of her house helpers were facing charges of stealing up to $1 million in cash, £300,000, and a variety of clothing items and jewellery valued at thousands of cedis.

The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) started looking into where she got her money after the exposé. This led to a search of her homes and the discovery of $590,000 and Gh2.7 million at her Abelemkpe home.

Taking to her Twitter (now X) handle, she chastised the sanitation minister for not investing in her looks despite all the monies she incurred, adding that her wigs were not of good quality.

“All that money and still couldn’t buy a good wig. Wig stiffer than wood,” Efia Odo posted.

Her post, however, didn’t go down well with many followers, with many saying she was shallow-minded.
