Cecilia Dapaah, a former minister of sanitation and water resources, has caught social media by storm as her name climbs the Twitter trending list.

This follows a recent Accra High Court decision ordering the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) to refund money that had been taken from her in the past.

The court handed the court in its directive a seven-day deadline to return the former minister’s money that had been confiscated.

Users have responded with a variety of opinions and sentiments, making her name the top trending topic on Twitter as a result of this development.

According to news reports, Cecilia Dapaah allegedly stole $1 million, $300,000, and millions of Ghanaian cedis from her chamber.

Following the news’s release, Cecilia Dapaah announced her resignation as a minister. The Office of the Prosecutor then searched the former minister’s Abelemkpe residence for the evidence as part of their enquiry.

The money that had been hidden in the former minister’s home was taken by the OSP after the search.
