Azeez Fashola, better known by his stage name Naira Marley, has had his music prohibited from being played on Splash FM 105.5 in Ibadan, Oyo State, due to the ongoing enquiry into the strange death of Mohbad, a previous label signee.

This information was revealed in a post that one of the radio station’s hosts, Aderonke Adesola, made on X (formerly Twitter).

The management of Splash FM explained the suspension in an internal memo by citing the ongoing police investigation into Mohbad’s death.

Due to the sensitive circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death and the ongoing criminal investigation, the message asked staff employees to use prudence. It added that, as of right away, Naira Marley’s music is now officially designated as “Not to be Broadcast” on their station till further notice.
