Adebola Akin-Bright, a 13-year-old child who underwent treatment at Obitoks Medical Centre and the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) after his small intestine purportedly vanished, has passed away.

Little Adebola reportedly experienced problems on Tuesday, September 19, and was sent to the intensive care unit of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital where he was later pronounced dead, according to family sources.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Lagos State House of Assembly urged Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to order the Ministry of Health to provide funding for Adebola treatment abroad.

After his mother made a social media plea to the governor to look into the enigmatic disappearance of her son’s intestine, Adebola’s suffering came to light.

The governor visited Adebola on his hospital bed after her video went viral and promised to see to it that her son’s health is recovered.
