Famous reggae/dancehall performer Charles Nii Armah-Mensah Jr., better known by his stage name Shatta Wale, has unanticipatedly stepped forwards to support rival and colleague Stonebwoy, who once again failed to secure a Grammy nomination despite his admirable efforts.

None of the Ghanaian performers who submitted their work for consideration at the 2024 Grammy Awards, including Stonebwoy, were nominated.

This resulted in Stonebwoy being made fun of on social media by individuals, especially those connected to the “Shatta Movement,” the fan base of Shatta Wale.

Shatta Wale warned his supporters to stop acting in such a way in a video that was posted on Instagram.

He made it clear that, given the amount of work left to be done in the Ghanaian music industry, now is not the time to celebrate the failure of another person.

Shatta Wale continued by calling out anyone making fun of them and making a clear threat to remove them from his social media accounts.
