Kuami Eugene Breaks Silence Following Accident, Provides Health Update Online
After a week of silence, amidst doubts about his survival following a tragic motor accident, Highlife musician Kuami Eugene has shared photos of himself steadily recovering, proving that he made it out alive.
Accompanied by a heartfelt message expressing gratitude to God, his family, the staff of UGMC (University of Ghana Medical Center), and well-wishers for their prayers and support, Kuami Eugene reassured fans of his improving health status.
Notably, despite being hospitalized, Kuami Eugene was seen with his recording equipment, including a keyboard, mixer, laptop, and other gadgets, indicating his dedication to his craft even in his current condition.
The accident occurred when Kuami Eugene’s vehicle collided with the back of a tipper truck around the Achimota Overhead, CP, at approximately 11:30 pm on Sunday, March 17, 2024. He and another passenger were subsequently transported to UGMC for medical attention.
Following the incident, Dr. Amina Haarun, a medical practitioner presumed to be associated with UGMC, faced backlash and was suspended from her duties for three months due to her unauthorized disclosure of Kuami Eugene’s health status. Dr. Haarun had shared details of the musician’s hospitalization on social media, violating patient confidentiality protocols. However, she later expressed regret for her actions and issued an apology.
