The African National Congress (ANC) in South Africa has faced a setback in its legal efforts to prevent a new party, uMkhonto we Sizwe (MK), led by former President Jacob Zuma, from using the name and logo of its former armed wing.
The ANC argued that this breached trademark law, but the Durban High Court ruled otherwise, permitting the use of the name, which carries significant political symbolism.
