On social media platform X, the hashtag #TinubuMustGo has gained momentum as Nigerians express frustration over the current socio-economic conditions, which they attribute to President Bola Tinubu’s economic policies.
Recently, Adetokunbo Pearse, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Presidential Campaign Council, criticized Tinubu’s economic strategies, particularly regarding the removal of petrol subsidies, labeling them as disastrous.
Pearse, during a Channels TV program, emphasized the need for transparency in determining the actual landing cost of petrol and suggested thorough scrutiny of Mele Kyari, the Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), to address cost fluctuations.
Nigerian netizens echoed these sentiments on X, expressing regret over voting for Tinubu in the 2023 general election.
