Cyril Ramaphosa was elected as president last Friday in the National Assembly with the support of minority parties such as the DA, PA, IFP, and GOOD, all of whom are part of the ANC-brokered government of national unity (GNU) in a coalition agreement.

The inauguration is currently underway at the Union Buildings in Tshwane.
Under the power-sharing arrangement, cabinet positions will be allocated proportionately among these five parties. The ANC will hold the majority of positions, followed by the DA.
According to constitutional provisions, the current cabinet, deputy president, ministers, and deputy ministers continue to serve until the newly elected president assumes office.
Ramaphosa is expected to announce a reshuffled cabinet at a later date.
