Sharon Ooja embraced her Benue heritage during her wedding, showcasing it in her second outfit, and she didn’t do it alone.

Honoring her Idoma roots, Sharon wore a black and red striped dress known as the ‘APA or Edema,’ enhanced with modern fashion elements including a transparent corset adorned with intricate beadwork.

She complemented her attire with a matching red and black ‘Gele’ made from the same material as her dress. Adding a traditional touch, Sharon carried a hand fan with her husband’s surname, ‘Nwoke,’ inscribed on it.

Mr. Nwoke donned a black bedazzled ‘Senator’ shirt, paired with matching black pants, black shoes, a traditional Idoma hat, and red beads.
