Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate to the 2024 New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, emphasized that during President Akufo-Addo’s administration, Ghana has not faced hunger, which he attributed to divine blessings on the country.
He made these remarks while being officially introduced as the running mate of NPP presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, at the unveiling ceremony held at Kumasi Jubilee Park.
Dr. Opoku Prempeh also highlighted the auspicious weather on the day of the event as a further indication of God’s favor upon the NPP.
“Do you see the weather? Today, God did not let the sun shine, I’m I lying? He made it rain for the ground to be wet. God has Blessed NPP.”
“Nana Akufo-Addo is the only President in Ghana under whose 8 years administration that there has been no hunger,” he said.
According to him, “while the whole world was experiencing hunger, Ghana had enough food. Let us give thanks to God almighty for what he has done for us”.
