Legendary Nigerian singer Onyeka Onwenu has tragically passed away at the age of 72.
Onwenu reportedly died on Tuesday night, July 30, at Reddington Hospital in Lagos.
Sources close to the family revealed that Onwenu was attending the birthday party of Mrs. Stella Okoli of Emzor Pharmaceuticals when the incident occurred.
After delivering a performance, Onwenu returned to her seat and suddenly collapsed.
She was immediately rushed to Reddington Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
The cause of death has yet to be confirmed.
This marks a profound loss for the Nigerian music industry and her countless fans worldwide.
