rActress Yvonne Nelson revealed that publishing her book, “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,” was a deeply therapeutic experience. She mentioned that the book was the result of years of effort, describing the journey as incredible.

Nelson emphasized that everyone faces personal struggles and often keeps them private, so sharing her story felt like a form of therapy. She made these remarks during the graduation ceremony at her school, The Yvonne Nelson International School.

“It’s been a wonderful ride. It was something that I was working on for the longest time. That is what people don’t know, and they thought I woke up one day and used a week to write a book.

“We all have difficulties in our lives and things that we don’t talk to anybody about, and it’s been a big therapy for me to release the book. There is so much more I will want to share, but let’s see what happens,” she said in an interview on Thursday, July 31.

In her memoir, “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,” Yvonne Nelson disclosed that she does not know who her biological father is, revealing that the man she believed to be her father was not.

The book details her childhood and the challenges she faced, as well as her past relationship with rapper Sarkodie. Its revelations have sparked significant discussion and controversy.
